“Ercole Moretti & Fratelli” was established in 1911 on the initiative of the three Moretti brothers, Ercole, Norberto and Iginio, with the program of producing two classic types of glass beads: the “Rosetta” and the “Millefiori” mosaic.

The company has never stopped its activity which continues today with the children and grandchildren of the three founders. Over many years the range of products has been considerably enriched: many other types of Venetian pearls have been added to the “Rosetta” and “Millefiori”, such as the “Africa” ​​mosaic, the “Sommerso”, the “Fiorato”, the pearls with aventurine, with gold and silver leaf, imitations of semi-precious stones and others. Between the 40s and 60s, painted pearls were also produced to imitate natural ones.

Murrina manufacturing has always been a favorite and led, at the beginning of the 1970s, to the production of pendants, which aroused immediate interest due to the originality of the idea and the perfection of the execution. Subsequently, saucers and bowls were presented, refined objects that recall the complex and fascinating technique of Roman murrini glass.
